Indian Democracy - Governance & Quality

India is a secular state like every democracy of the world including USA. A true democracy will survive only when people have faith in democracy.
How People have faith in democracy ? - Faith arise when democracy value the life of Human Being as human Being Not only as a life.
Faith is something which we can never measure-But surely we can cross check if citizens performing their duties without any motivation. Is India a True Democratic Country ?
The Answer of this question is NO. (from my perceptions)

As I said earlier Citizens are more then Life. They are not cattle's and our government failed to understand this concept time & again. Urban & Rural ppl will give answers differently but Quality matters everywhere. How Governance failed to keep the true democracy alive in India. The reason are as follows :

How Our life are valued as citizens. Do we have Facilities,Infrastructure & Services we are entitled to ?  Below are the Questions we need ask ourselves - and should try to answer them.

     a. When you wake up in morning and read newspapers,How much belief you have on Newspapers? Do they really worth your belief ?
Ans : News got doctored. Lot many suppressed. The news agencies worked like adv. agencies.

     b. You need clean Water for You,Industries & Farms. Do you have enough Clean water without any issue?
Ans : Low ground water level . Quality of water is low & Qty in scarcity. No plans for optimal utilization of storing & supplying fresh water.

     c. Do you have electricity 24/7 ? To read, study, cook and do all household chores. Electricity-To manufacture,In your farm, at your office.
Ans : Whole India is crying for Energy scarcity. Higher prices of fuel.Solar Energy scam, Gas prices scam. No far sighted policy.

     d. Do we have Good Govt Schools/universities & Do we have any Ranking system which proof the same ? Can merely bringing  RTE help ?
Ans: Number of Schools are not increased with population. Teachers are also outnumbered. Education is in pitiful state with interference of Religion & Region biases. MidDay meal in school to bring student are taking lives of them.

     e.  How is the economic condition & job opportunities available ? Are they good enough to work in tandem or grow with inflation ?
Ans: Difficult to do Business in India with higher wages-Thanks to NREGA. Job opportunities are poorer as no more investment with policy paralysis. Inflation is very high with interest rate. Exchange rate all time low and we are on the verge of Bankruptcy.

     f. Do we have Good Urban Transport and Excellent connectivity to our rural  areas. Are our public transport available for us all the time?
Ans : Pathetic Road transport services with road condition. Low traffic movement in urban areas with high pollution. rural connectivity is very poor. Railways are overcrowded.

     g. Are our Family members safe in Roads & houses from criminals and crooks.
Ans: RAPES & SCAMS are part of our daily life. When Political class think Ppl as vote bank then appeasement politics will start. Justice can never prevail in that society.

     h. Do we have good medical facilities ? Is there anyone who look after the hygiene and health in society ?
Ans : No Govt. Hospital trustworthy. All medicines at subsidized rates sold by middleman. No accountability on doctors & hospital. Private Hospitals will suck your last drop of blood & money. No accountability for sanitation & cleanliness.

 i. Do you have one house to come back at night ?
Ans : Lot of the Indians don't.

Democracy is for Nations where Citizens life are precious not because only they are alive but they are Living worth a human being.

Leadership Lessons from Bhagvad Gita - Change Management.

Leadership Lessons from Bhagvad Gita - Change Management.

“Pandavas Felt the need for Change – Wanted to create a better society or system”

A successfully managed “Change Management” can lead a company to success. Change management is required for :

  1.      Dynamically change Business environment with Technology, Economies & customer   expectations.
  2.      Growing business in various diverse domains.
  3.      facing global factors, forces & achieve Adaptability to Strategic, Tactical & Operational changes.

“Pandavas(Arjuna) Get Disoriented in Kurushetra As soon as process for change(War) is about to Start .
A requirement (Need) to come out of comfort zone – Pain & anxiety for future ”

The three important aspects we need to deal while dealing with changes are:
People, Process and Technology. Process change & Technology change are very much measurable & widely researched. The challenges with Process and technology are relatively familiar and we know how system behave or act. As we are aware of the downside & its probability we can actually create some backup system.

The third aspect People are really difficult to handle and it’s tricky. The emotions & habit of weighing things (Pros & Cons) continuously play a wide role in people Change Management. It keeps making people disoriented, feared & avert to changes. Even if people first thought of accepting change and began their journey for change, Winds of challenges keep on playing with their hopes and fear.

"Here Comes a Leader like Krishna - A Orientation Program (Bhagvad Gita)."

What Krishna exactly said?
  • Surrender every karma to Me (As in God) : Here Krishna is taking Ownership of the changes.  Alleviate fear of failure.
Leader should take Ownership of Failure & Success.
  • Soul is beyond destruction. It will be there even if you participate in war or not: Here Krishna is suggesting that change is bound to happen and it’s a continuous Process. Even if people don’t want to change, Business forces & continuously evolving market will force the change in future and then it will be a do or die situation.
Leader should suggest for embracing the change as an inevitable process. Welcome it soon   rather then doing fire fighting later.
  •  Doing your karma without thinking of results: Here Krishna is suggesting bringing Focus in your job. Fear of failure & anxiety for success is an obstruction in focus.
Leader should suggest for Focus in your job, which eventually will produce Quality work.
  •  Telling the yoga: Krishna suggest for Karma yoga – Excellence in your work & Doing it with perfection.
Leader should motivate the Team member to reach Excellence.
  •  Showing the path to be unaffected & becoming Wiser like “Muni” :  Krishna suggested keeping the calm & remaining unattached with things simultaneously.
Leader should inspire leadership qualities in other. Keeping the Calm, Detailed & profound thinking. Out of the box thinking without clinging to any particular solution.
  •  Showing the ViraatSwaroop (The real self of God) : Krishna showed the hidden Real God to Arjuna to cement the trust of Arjuna.
Leader should share the Vision,Plan & intentions for change with Honesty & Transparency.  Trust toward a leader will be a great force in the process of Change Management.

“Krishna guiding the Pandavas (Arjuna in chariot) from the front – Solving the War Challenges and getting war resources & Additional soldiers in Mahabharata”

A leader needs to guide the team continuously. He should be a problem Solver & should be able to come up with ideas. He should be able to mobilize resources and bring the right resources to pool.
